COMMEMORATIVE WREATHS. (Per PresG Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The twenty-third anniversary of Mr R. J. Seddon’s death was commemorated to-day by the placing of wreaths at the base of his monument. The wreaths included two deposited by Sir Joseph Ward —one personal and the other on behalf of the Cabinet, Parliament and friends. Sir Joseph delivered a brief eulogistic speech to the * gathering. Mr H. E. Holland (Leader of the Labour Party) also spoke, referring to Mr Seddon as one of New Zealand’s greatest sons.
