LOCAL BODY ELECTION
CHRISTCHURCH HOSPITAL BOARD. LYTTELTON HARBOUR BOARD. (Special to the "Guardian.") CHRISTCHURCH. This Dav. The 'results of the elections are that the Citizens' Association has gained one seat from Labour on the Hospital Board, but the party positions on the Harbour Board are unchanged. The following candidates were elected to the Hospital Board, the sitting members being denoted by an asterisk:— *Dr Acland (Citizens'), *Mrs B. BMcCombe (Labour)* *H. J. Otlev (Citizens') *Dr. Foster (Citizens'), *Mrs T. Green (Labour), Miss E. Cardale (Citizens'), P. W. Sharpe (Labour), W. Anderson (Citizens). Mrs A. E. Herbert (Citizens') and the Rev. J. K. Archer and Clyde Carr r M P (Labour) did not seek re-e!ect'on. In' the election of four city representatives en the Lyttelton Harbour Board, the following candidates have been elected, an asterisk denoting a sitting member :-*H. T Armstrong M.P. (Labour), *H. Holland, M.P. (Citizens'), *E. J. Howard M.PLabour), H. M. Chrvstall (Citizens ) The onlv change is that Mr Chrystall replaces Mr J. R. Hay ward (Citizens').
