CONTROL BOARDS

OPPOSITION IN BRITAIN.

THE MATTER OF COMPETITION.

DOMINION MERCHANTS' VIEW. (United Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. The Australian and New Zealand Merchants' Association carried a resolution noting with great concern the increasing tendency to form boards to control, for sale, produce exported to this side of the world. This, in the Association's opinion, greatly hampers trade and is detrimental to the producers' interests, especially as the sale of products in other countries is not restricted, which results in those countries disposing of their produce ahead of Australia and New Zealand whenever the markets are over-sup-plied.—-Australian Press Association.
