NEW TRAFFIC BRIDGE.

CONSTRUCTION OF PILES. TEST WORK TO START SHORTLY. The construction of three reinforced test piles for the new traffic bridge at Ashburton will be put in hand shortly. The new structure will be immediately below the existing bridge. When its work is completed, about the end ot January, the pile-driving plant in use on the new Pareora bridge will be transferred to Ashburton, in readiness for the commencement of operations.
