THE DAIRY INDUSTRY. (Special to the "Guardian.") AUCKLAND, December 8. Present indications point to a record season for Dominion dairy farmers. Production is up ten per cent., prices have been excellent and just when it appeared that values were likely to drop there has been a sharp recovery and to-day the big firms of Tooley Street are chasing New Zealand dairy companies for sale contracts. Auckland, the premier dairy province of the Dominion, has actually been the centre of the livelier movement which has animated the market during the past few days, and its farmers may expect to reap a biV share of the rrood season's returns that now seem assured. The output Is 11 per cent, up on last vear's and large quantities of biitter (many thousands of tons) have been sold in the last few days on the basis of Is 5d f.o.b. for delivery from December to March. This is qrofe an exceptional lavement /of ft» time oj the year.
