A “FIELD DAY.”

ALLENTON SPjORTS CLUB. A field day was held by the Allenr ton Sports Club ,on Saturday, when there was a large attendance of members and friends. A short ;break in the afternoon’s entertainment was caused by a light fall, of rain. .'Competitions were held on each of the : bowling, tennis and croquet greens, .and. sweets, refreshment and many -other stalls were supervised by memibers. An enjoyable afternoon was , spent. The stallholders were:— Ice Cream, Sweets and Drinks— Messrs G. Olds and C. Welsh. Variety—Mesdames D. A. Morgan, ■E. Robilliard and L. Walker. Refreshments —Mesdames E. C. Bathurst, MacJLaren, Wilson . and VBoothroyd. Croquet Competition—Mesdames R. 'Barr, Saunders, Misses Hardwick and Bowling Competition—Mess-rs J. and J. Templeton. Tennis Competitions—Mr A. Horne.
