At midnight, Arthur Liddle was found with extensive wounds in the chest, abdomen and back. One cut was from chest to abdomen, and measured nine inches. Ethel Liddle, believed to he his wife, was later treated for wounds* in the nose as the result of a brawl in which the pair were involved. The man was aged 45.—Australian Press Association.
