THE WEATHER.
FROST FOLLOWS RAIN. S' Light rain continued to fall yesterday until late last evening, and for the 24 hours ended at nine o’clock this morning 12 points were registered. A mild frost was experienced last night, three degrees being recorded this morning. , The weather to-day vvas pleasant, the warmth of the sun being tempered by a north-east breeze. The barometer reading ,at nine o’clock this morning was 29.82 inches, as against 29.52 inches yesterdhy. The maximum and minimum temperatures registered yesterday were 63 and 38 degrees respectively, compared with 73 and 60 degrees on Sunday.
OFFICIAL FORECAST. The following forecast was issued to-dav :■ - Indications are for moderate northerly winds, backing by west to south. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. Isolated showers. Barometer rising.
