A well-known Chinese banana grower, George Dan, of Middle Creek, near Pomona, was found fatally stabbed with a cook’s knife in a hotel, Pomona, where she was staying. . Later an Italian cook, Guiseppe Suglitano, was arrested and charged with murder. —Australian Press Association.
