I High School Board.—The. monthly meeting of the High School Board; was theld yesterday. Those present were: Messrs W. B. Denshire D. Thomas, M. Stitt, and Rev. G. B._ Inglis. The headmaster reported that the scarlatina outbreak had.:' caused a marked drop in the ' average attendance for the month. Mounted Rifles.—On Monday evening a meeting was heltl to consider the formation of a division of iJh'e Ashburton Mounted Rifles, ai- which Captain Fooks, Lieut.
