Fall gave an mterview in which he declared that the leapot Dome Oil lease was the most financially advantageous deal ever made for the Government. He reiterated his denials regarding the alleged bribes and the suppression of news about the leases, and produced a copy oi the message allegedly from Mr Warfflj*' , H ? rdm e (ex-President) readings 1 think it only fair to say in this connection that the policy adopted by the Secretary of the Navy (Mr Denby), and the .Secretary of the Interior (Mr Fall) dealing with the matter was submitted! to me prior to its adoption, and the policy decided upon and subsequent acts have at all times had my approval.'
