The Moth aeroplane, with Mr and Mrs Douglas Mill (of Auckland) aboard arrived over Blenheim at 2.15 p.m. yesterday. The airman was unable to locate the aerodrome, and landed on the racecourse to ask for directions. He then flew off in another endeavour to find the aerodrome, but was again unsuccessful, and as fuel was short he returned to the racecourse. Here the machine was ultimately refilled. By this time it was 3.30, and Mr Mill de-, cided, as he would be late in reaching' Christchurch, to wait in Blenheim all night, resuming the trip to-day. He flew the machine from the racecourse to the aerodrome to have it bedded down for the night. Mr and Mrs Mill took-off for Chrisfcr;hurch at 10.15. The weather was fine and clear.
ARRIVAL AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Haying left Blenheim at 10.15 a.m. the Moth aeroplane, carrying Mr and Mrs Douglas Mills, of Auckland, arrived at Wigram Aerodrome at 12.21 p.m. The weather was excellent all the way. The trip cost £5.
