Stock exchange and society circles have experienced a sensation by the news that Madam Van _ Eeghen, a niece of Sir Henri Deterding, and the only woman member of the stock exchange, has been found in her home with a bullet in her head, which was extracted, but the patient is in a critical condition. Her husband, who was a prominent rubber merchant, was found fatally shot. Sir Henri Deterding, interviewed at Ascot late to-night, was not aware of the occurrenoe. Sir Henri Deterding is directorgeneral of the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company, and a director of the Shell Transport and Trading C 0.,. Ltd.
