The Stock Exchange again broke all records with j;otal sales of 4,248,500 shares, surpassing the record of March ]3. Speculators sent am enormous week-end accumulation of buying orders into the market, whirling the prices of several leading lines into new high levels. General Motors again led, more than 500,000 shares in that stock alone changing hands within five hours, and selling for a new high elYel of £4O per share at the height of the trading, shortly before the close. Practically the whole market followed an upward) trend. '•
