(“Sun.”) (Received This Day, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, March 20, The Warsaw correspondent of the “Daily Mail” states that Vilna reports a mysterious attempt to poison the population of Minsk by selling . 300 casks of pickled cucumbers containing arsenic, resulting in hundreds of victims on one day. The authorities, through cinematograph theatres and restaurants, notified the public to eschew cucumbers. The police arrested Hozdan, seller of several casks, and compelled him to eat one of his own cucumbers, which made him seriously ill. The affair is reported to be a terroristic act, andl a Soviet pretext to further wholesale arrests in White Russia.
