COST IN MEN AND MONEY. (Press Association—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, January 27. • Admiral Bueret (Chief Constructiom Officer of the Navy) informed the Naval' Committee of the House of Representatives that* an increase of approximately 20,000 enlisted men and 825 officers will be necessary to man the eight cruisers now under construction, and the 25 cruisers contemplated' in the five years' programme. He said that the eight cruisers now under construction will cost approximately £3,300,000 each.
