HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. “Bobbed Hair” will be shown tonight and to-morrow night. The story is a rollicking, swift-moving, joyful tale, through whose maze of swift adventure progresses the charming heroine and the personable youim- men in love with her. Not only is it an adventure story, but a delightful romance as well; perfectly acted by a cast which includes Kenneth Harlan, Louis Fazenda, Francis J. McDonald, Pat Hartigan, Emily Fitzroy, Reed Howes, John Roche, Tom Ricketts, Walter Long, Otto Hoffman, and Kate Toneray, besides “Pal,” the do" For to-morrow’s matinee and again at night there will be “The Canyon of Light.” Hard riding and swift action mark Tom Mix’s latest. For breath taking suspense, nerve tingling excitev ment and hair raising escapes, it is doubtful if even Tom has surpassed what he does in this gripping drama of the frontier. On Monday night only pictures of the Dempsey-Tunney fight will be screened. “The movies of the fight are really great,” says a reviewer. “The writer saw them twice, so. as to get a double peek at the expression on Tunney’s face when he went down. It was no lucky punch that downed the champion. It wasn’t one punch, but a series of punches, and when he went down he was clowru There was no question .about his condition. Ho was punch drunk and dazed.”

“RICHARD, HOW COULD YOU?” “Richard! How Could You?” the rollicking comedy farce with the whimsical title, is really descriptive- of a plot of highly amusing frivols. It will be presented to-night at the Theatre Royal by W. J. C. Barr’s Comedians, that clever company of fun-makers who delighted Ashburton audiences some time ago with “Up In Mabel’s Room.” The situations which the author has 'arranged in “Richard, How Could You?” are very humorous, and the crazy complications of the play are created by the amorous vagaries of a young and wealthy bachelor who becomes engaged to four girls simultaneously. The fun starts when, the four girls come to visit the foolish, youth at the same time, and the efforts of his friend, Dick Ross, to lieln him out of his difficulties cause unbridled hilarity. Mr Billy O’Hanlon will be seen as the young man with the amorous disposition. “Richard, How Could You?” will be played for one nigl.it only. The box plans are at the Bristol Piano Company.
