AMERICAN SENSATION. TWENTY-ONE PRISONERS ESCAPE GUARDS CLEVERLY TRICKED. (Press Association—'Copyright.) NEW YORK, January 24. Twenty-one prisoners, confined in a single cell in Detroit county prison, dug a way to freedom through the brick wall by means of tools fashioned from plumbing fixtures an d flattened buckets. They substituted! dummies which smiled at the guards while the prisoners made a getaway. Two of the escaped prisoners have already been captured. The search for the others is extending to Canada.
