SWIMMING.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. Several events were got off by members of the Ashburton Swimming Club, in the Borough School bath last evening, the chief event being a 66 2-3 yds race, one of a series of races for points for the .Rose Bowl. There was a small attendance. Results were: — Rose Bowl (06 2-3 yds)—J. Ramsey (scr) 1, 5 points; J. Miller (ssec) 2, 3 pts; A. Lane (lsec) 3, lpt. B. Lane (3sec), and U. Flatman (4secs) also competed. AVon by two feet. Time, 43 4-5 sec.
25 Yards (Girls).—M. Johnstone (scr) 1, N. Fleming (2sec) 2, E. Harle (3sec) 3. ' \ \ Dual Relay—N. Milson and J. Keig (3secs) 1; J. Ramsey and U. Flatman (scr) 2; B. Lane 'and A. Lane (2sec) 3. Won by five feet. Time— 41 4-5 sec. 33 1-3 Yards Dash.—U. Flatman (2 sees) 1, J. Keig (scr), and N. Milsom (scr) equal 2. Time—23 1-5* sec.
