DEVELOPMENT OF THE SUDAN. (Per Press Association —Copyn'sht ) LONDON, January 16. Another step in the development of the Sudan is marked by the announcement that the new bridge oyer the White Nile, connecting Khartoum and Omdurman for foot passengers, vehicular traffic, and electric trams, will be opened to-morrow. The bridge, which consists of seven spans each 244 feet long, and an electrically-operated swing-span 304 feet long, lies across the White Nile at its junction with the Blue Kile.
