{From Our Own Correspondents.) STAVELEY. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Pioneer Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F. was held-on Saturday evening, the -VC(Bro. H. Lamb) presiding oyer a good attendance. A iuneral allowance or £lO, arid sick pay of £4 in favour or two members were passed for payment. The United Friendly Societies’ Dispensary notified a reduction of 2s per quarter on members’ contributions. The committee of the Hall Society met last week, the chairman (Mr D. E'. Sawers) presiding. The secretary. (Mr G. L Burton) reported a very satisfactory result of the recent dance, and the v.'orkinw position was considered good. Onlv one tender, which was considered too high, was received for the cleaning of the hall, and later the old arranger ment was agreed to. Strong exception was taken to the action of certain parties in misusing the hall after tlie conclusion of a recent function.
