The United States Senate _ went on record as favouring reduction, of the existing Republican tariff schedules. It adopted Mr McMasters’ resolution stating that such revision should be made to establish agriculture on a basis of equality with secondary industry. The vote was 54 to 34. Twelve MidWestern Republicans joined with the almost solid adoption/ of the resolution. Only two Democrats voted against it.
