QUADRUPLE YIELDS.

ONE-TENTH THE LABOUR

REPORTED WHEAT DISCOVERY. (Per Press Association-Copyright.) LONDON, January 16. The “Dailv Express” says a new chapter in British agriculture is expected as the result of a discovery introduced into England from China by way of Germany. This consists in the development ox the enormous potentialities of grain and corn by first planting it in a care-fully-prepared seed bed and then transplanting it in ordinary corn land by the aid of machinery savin" nine-tenths of the labour. It is claimed that a crop of 130 bushels to tho acre is obtainable as against the present British average of 32. If the method is successful, Britain would soon cease to upon foreign corn and the prosperity of agriculture in the Homeland would be restored.
