THE TURF.
RAMPION TO BE RETIRED. The Australian crack, llampion, was looked upon as one likely to extend Limerick, in their autumn engagements, but now comes the news that his one race during the holidays has found a weak spot. His trainer has stated that there is little chance of llampion being seen again in public. Rampion defeated Limerick in tiie A.J.C: Derby of 1926, and a meeting between the pair in the autumn would have ai’oused great interest.
