INJURED BY A BULL. 4 Per Press Association.) WHANGAREI, January 12. Last evening Mrs 0.. Hi Allan, of of Towai, was driving cows into a yard, when a Jersey bull turned on her, unci inflicted severe injuries in the abdomen and lower thigh. A youth, William Murray, who was passing, drove the animal off. She was taken to the Kawakawa hospital and -is reported this morning as progressing satisfactorily. GIRL AGED FOUR POISONED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND,, .January 12. Fatal results attended the consumption of tablets, containing a powerful drug by Zane Unis Nation, aged four, at the home of her parents, Rocklands Avenue, last evening. When the* child became ill, shortly after 8 o’clock, her father noticed several tablets which he was accustomed to take as medicine, were, missing from a bottle. Medical aid was summoned, and the child was removed to the Auckland Hospital, but she died two hours after her admission. An inquest was opened to-day, and was adjourned sine die.
KILLED BY CAPSIZED LORRY. NELSON, January 12. lan Coleman, aged nineteen, was killed last night through a motorlorry he was driving running off the road and capsizing on Baton, Saddle Coleman was a son of Mr-Edward Coler man, of Motupiko,. and was engaged carting timber from a sawmill in Baton ,to Tapawera. He was travelling by hiniself, and no one actiially the accident. The first to discover, it v/as a man who was driving a tarry somfic distance behind.
