BODY FOUND IN MINE. 750 FEET DOWN DISUSED SHAFT. (Per Press Association.) REEFTON, This Day. The body of Sydney Durward, licensee Black's Point Hotel, was found in the Energetic mine shaft last night, about 750 feet deep. Evidently he had thrown himself down. An attempt is being made to recover the body to-day. It is a hard task as the mine is not working, and the shaft has fallen in.

MAN COMMITS SUICIDE. .REEFTON. This Day. Hugo Trumboldt, a resident of Inangahua Junction, was found dead in a whare on Monday with his head blown off. At the inquest yesterday a verdict was returned of suicide from gelignite while recovering from the aftereffects of alcohol.
