MINERS ENTOMBED.
TRAPPED BY EXPLOSION. •THIRTY MEN BELOW GROUND. (Per Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, January 9. A message from West Frankfort (Illinois) says that 30 miners were trapped by an explosion. Officials are at present unable to estimate the number of casualties. Rescue crews are attempting to reach the trapped men.
