OBITUARY.
A FAMOUS BRITISH EXPLORER. (Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, July 31. The death is announced of Sir Hairy Johnstone, the explorer. Sir Harry Hamilton Johnstone was a. famous explorer and an administrator. In 1889 he led an expedition to Lakes Nyasa and Tanganyika, founding the British Central African Protectorate. He was Consul-General in the regency of Tunirf, and late Special Commissioner and Commiander-in-Chicf for the Uganda, Protectorate and adjoining territories. He was the author of many books, including a biography of David Livingstone. His first novel', "The Gay Dombeys," appeared in 1919.
