TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. (From the "Guardian," June 17,1902.) Lyndhurst. —The Lyndhurst bachelors held their annual ball on Friday in Mr Drummond's grainshed. Waimakariri Power.—Mr T. E. Taylor, at present in Geneva, has written to the Mayor of Christchurch that he is bringing home a prominent Italian engineer to report on the projected power supply from the Waimakariri. Where Our Produce Goes. —The following were the shipments of grain and produce from Lyttelton for the week ended Friday last:—To South Africa, 85,279 bags oats; for Australia, 93 sacks barley, 4019 sacks potatoes: for Suva, 5 sacks oats, 245 sacks potatoes; coastwise,/806 sacks wheat, 2175 sacks and 254 bags oats, 10 sacks barley, 125 sacks bran, 270 sacks and 180 bags flour, 5522 sacks potatoes, 210 sacks sharps. Total shipments, 806 sacks wheat, 55.533 bags and 21S0 sacks oats, 103 sacks barley, 125 sacks bran, 270 sacks and 180 bags flour, 9786 sacks potatoes, and 210 sacks sharps.
