ANOTHER BREAK.

TWO MILLION ACRES DOOMED.

•SUGAR BOWL FLATS NOW A LAKE

(Press Association--Copyright.) NEAV YORK, May 24. A New Orleans message states- that the levee at McCrea, on the Athci-a-falaya River, despite the efforts to save it which had been made for several days, broke suddenly, flooding Point Coupee Parish, and dooming 2,000,000 more acres of fertile Louisiana farm lands. No lives were lost. It is believed that the 50,000 inhabitants of the parish will evacuate it before it is completely inundated. This newest break means the inundation of six more parishes, and the complete transformation of the rich Sugar Howl lands into a gigantic lake, and necessitates 105,000 more persons leaving their homes. The break is already 1000 feet wide, -and is expected to extend to 2000. The waters are at present rushing through at the rate of 30 miles an hour.
