There are six new members, including Miss

Basten. There are three Labour members, compared with two in the lasfc council. In the Takapuna election the whole of the old council were rejected, a decisive victory for the party opposed to the proposed purchase of the tram and ferry service. The Auckland Harbour Board voters elected Messrs Bloodworth, Hutchinson, Inder, and Johnson. For the Auckland Hospital Board all the retiring members were re-elected except Mr W. A. Thompson, replaced by Mr M. J. Savage.
