FIGHT AGAINST BILL.
—♦ BACK BENCHERS WILL OBSTRUCT BUSINESS. (Press Association —Coppright.) LONDON, April 27. The political correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" states that unionist members of the House of Commons returning from their constituencies report that thousands of steady-going trades unionists do not accept Labour members' misrepresentation of the Trades Union Bill, and welcome the prospects of greater freedom under the measure. Supporters of the Government are satisfied that there is a solid mass of public opinion behind the Bill. To-day's meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party was chiefly concerned with the fight against the Bill. Mr Clynes, in the absence of Mr MacDonald, moves its rejection on Monday. An indication of the temper of the party is shown bv to-night's rumour that the Labour Party has decided to break off relations with the Government Whips and give a free run to the back henchers to obstruct business, in which case the Government will have a heavy task in niloting the Bill through the House of Commons.
