The Minister of Health (Mr Nevil Chamberlain) has sent a" letter to the National Federation of Fruit Trades stating that according to information in the Department's possession the arsenical spraying of apples does not involve danger if the fruit be peeled and the core removed. In such cases, where tests have been made, it is reported that the flesh is free of arsenic or the amount is so small as to be negligible.
