THE MEAT TRADE. PRICES IN NEW ZEALAND. WELLINGTON, Dec. 30. The Meat Producers' Board advises tnat the following prices are being oered as at December 24 : Auckland—Wethers, 50ib and under, skl; second quality wethers, 43d. Ewes, 561 b and under, 4d. Prime woolly lambs, 361 b and under, 8kl; 371 b to 42!b, 8d; 431 b and over, 7d. Poverty Bay—Wethers, 361 b and under. 5Ad; 571 b to 641 b, 4£d; second quality" wethers, 4-Jd. Prime woolly lambs, 8 id, 8d and 7d; second quality lambs, 7hd.

Hawke's Bayv—Wethers, 6Jd to s^d; second quality wethers, sd; ewes, 561 b and under, 4-}d; 571 b to 641 b, 4d. Prime woolly lambs, 9-kl, BJd and Bd. Wellington—Wethers, 6Jd and sid ; second quality, s\d. Ewes. 4£d and 4d. Prime woolly lambs, 9-Jd, B£d, and Bd.

The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received tho following cablegram from its London office, dated December 24, advising Smithfiold delivered prices at that date as follows: Wethers and maidens. —Canterbury quality selected brands: 561 b and under 7\d, 57-6411) 7 : \d, 65-721 b ljd. AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE. SYDNEY, Dec. 30. Wheat —Millers are offering 6s 3id, ex trucks, 5s Bsd at country stations. Oats —Tasmanian Algerian 4s 7d, white 5a lOd. Maize—ss 9d. Potatoes—Local £9, £l6; Tasmanian £l6. Onions—Victorian £l2. ADELAIDE. Dec. 30. Wheat—Growers lots 6s 2d. Oats—2s.

PRODUCE IN BRITAIN. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT Tho Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram dated December 24 from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Butter. Butter is better. Trade was passing this week at lower prices. Cheese. English is quiet, and colonial makes are. slow. Official quotations are:— English.—Finest farmers, unchanged. Canadian—Finest coloured and white 106s-108s cwt (Hid to Hid lb). N.Z.—Coloured and white, 106s-102s (10£d lb). A shipment of New Zealand cheese arrived by the Tainui this week MEAT EXPORT PRICES. The new season's opening prices, which have been notified for. the week as from December 29th, work out per carcase as follows: —
