Wesleyan Sunday School.—lt is announced that should the weather prove unfavourable for the Baring Square Sunday School treat, to be held tomorrow in the Domain, the scholars will meet at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at tho Drill-shed, which has been kindly placed at tho disposal of tho school. A Handsome Donation.—By the last Home mail, the Rev. Geo. B. Inglis received a draft of £IOO from his brother, Mr James Inglis, a member of the London Stock Exchange, as a donation to the fund for the erection of the new Presbyterian Manse. Tho Sixth Contingent.—Applications are invited from men desiring to join the Sixth Contingent. Conditions, rates of pay, and other particulars will he found iu our advertising columns. A New Order.—Her Majesty tho Queen is establishing a new order of Knighthood similar to tho Indian Order. It will probably be called the “Star of Africa.” ?

Substantial Damages.—A lady of Glasgow and formerly of New Zealand is suing a Glasgow millionaire for £30,000 for alleged! breach of promise. Financial Crisis.—A serious position has occurred in the West Australian section of the London Stock Exchange owing to a drop in Lake View Consols mining shares. The London a!nd Globe Finance Corporation, Ltd., is virtually col lopsing, and the Standard Exploration Co. is in a similar position. Business on tile Exchange is at a standstill and further faliures are expected. Latterly Westralian and New Zealand holdings in the mine have been largely parted with.
