The Government will not be able to appoint any women to the Legislative Council for some months, till the Constitution Act Amendment Bill receives tho Royal assent. The chief measure for Parliament, when it resumes, is consideration of the Electoral Bill, seeking to revert to single seats, with the first-past-the-post system of voting. The Legislative Council previously rejected the latter part, substituting preferential voting.
