EARTHQUAKES AT BLENHEIM

SEVEREST FOR MANY YEARS'. FOUR ALMOST CONTINUOUS. (Per Press Association.) , BLENHEIM, This Day. Four severe shocks of earthquake were experienced here at 2 o’clock this morning, following each other so rapidly that they appeared almost as one continuous shake, lasting the best part of a minute. The shakes, which were preceded by a nimble, were the severest felt here for many years. _ At a quarter past two a short jolt w*ls felt and between 4 und, 5 o clock another short jolt was experienced With the exception of a few chimneys damaged and some bottles thrown down in several shops no material damage is reported.
