THE LAW OF THE IRON ROD. MINISTERS’ PROTEST. Here is an extract from “The Ministers’ Monthly” for September, 1923. It -will be interesting to see bow the professional Prohibitionists try to dam this particular outlet of truth: — “This paper is unalterably and absolutely opposed to anything that God in Heaven would call evil. But it has never been able- to make itself believe that a drink of good pure claret or a glass of good cool beer were objects of divine wrath.” New Zealand should 1 be warned in time. This Prohibition sham cannot bo perpetrated without the help of force. Tactics of the mailed fist will always end in self-destruction, whether that first belongs to individual autocrats or to feverish fanatics. The rule of the rod of iron will prove fatal to the sanct'tv of New Zealand’s constitution. — Advt.
