Joyn son-Hicks, Secretary for Home Affairs j speaking at Lincoln, said: ‘‘A definite attempt is being made to get British trade unions within the domination of a foreign Power, namely, the Moscow Soviet. I do not believe the workers are such fools as to desert their own tried leaders, but the Government is alive to what is going on and can be trusted to be ready in the event of a general strike next year/ ALIEN EXTREMISTS. ARRESTED IN GLASGOW. LONDON, October 20. Nine aliens were detained as the .result of a secret raid at Glasgow mad© by Scotland Yard officers. Those taken into custody include a local Communist and two women, who have been conveyed to London and, it:is reported, are to be deported.
