QUEENSLAND CABINET. MEMBER OF BOARD OF TRADE. DENOUNCED BY OPPOSITION. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Dav, 10.0 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. The State Premier (Mr W. N. Gillies) and Mr W. Dunstan (secretary of the Australian Workers’’ Union) have been appointed lay members of the Board of Trade with salaries of £2OOO per annum. *
Mr W. McCormack succeeds Mr Gillies as Premier. Mr T. Dunstan (Assistant-Minister) lias been elevated to full Cabinet rank, and MrvGledson has been appointed Assistant-Minister in the Legislative Assembly. The Opposition denounced the appointments, stating that the Bill under which they were made was framed for the purpose of finding a last political refuge for those who had outlived their usefulness.
