In connection with his forthcoming Antarctic expedition, Captain Wilkins has received generous support trom Messrs W. S. Robinson and H. B. Howard Smith, and is anxiously awaiting available funds from the Geographical Society of Adelaide to enable him to complete the purchase of RaoldAmnndsen’g seaplane, the N 25 on Tbur 8 * day. Otherwise he will be forced to try later to buy a new machine, entailing an additional cost of at teas £SOOO.
