FEAT BY YOUNG LAO. Word was received in Wellington on Monday that Mr Jack Ross a 17-year-old student of the Wellington Technical College, had chmbed Mount Cook, with Guides F. Milne and V. Williams. After leaving the Haast Hut, the party used skis over the Great Plateau to the Linda Glacier The ascent of the summit and descent to the Haast Hut occupied 14 hours 35 Cook has been climbed once previously this season, on February 10 when Messrs F. W. Vosseler and Jack Rawrdey, bcih of Wellington with Sde Milne, climbed it in IS hours 17 minutes.
