held in Wellington: 1 “That there should be a clause previous to Clause A of the license fees including all kinds of commercial vehicles. irrespective of the gross weight. “That we adhere to the Pphcy laid down bv the deputation to the Minister on January 16, especially in connection with Clause 10, dealing with the amount of the license. Me view with apprehension the outrageous rates proposed for passenger vehicles and urgently suggest a revision of these. “Wo* consider the whole matter has
been placed on an entirely different basis bv taxing on the gross weight instead of the carrying capacity. We world point out that this will put a serious embargo on British trucks, which are usually lOewt to !sewt heavier than American trucks.”
