Upper Ashburton Road Board There were present at the ordinary meeting of the Upper Ashburton Road Board, held in the Board’s office m West Street. Messrs 0. J. Harper (chairman), M. Stitt. I. Sargent, G. A. 'M. Buckley, and J. Tucker. An apology was received for the absence of Mr K. Campbell. His AVorship the Mayor (Mr H. Friedlander) and Cr. Thomas waited upon the Board with reference to the bringing of jwater along the Board s roads, and after discussion the matter was left for the Board to consider what arrangments it would be prepared to enter into with the Council. Personal.—At the meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board on Tuesday, Mr 33. G. Wright was elected chairman for the ensuing year. A Bazaar.—The Hon. AA r . J. Stewaro is to open the Hakateramea Bazaar on March 8.
