THE WEATHER.
A PLEASANT WEEK-END. Nine degrees of frost was registered yesterday morning, after a day in which the maximum and minimum temperatures were respectively 47 and 26 degrees. The conditions throughout yesterday were pleasant.. A north-east wind was in evidence, and has changed to-day to a slight one from the south. The temperatures yesterday were_ 58" and 37 degrees, maximum and minimum respectively. Two degrees of frost was registered last night, but any chilliness in the air has been dispelled by the warm sun. Tho barometer is on the downward* trend. At 9 a.m. on Saturday it stood" at 30.4, 24 hours later at 29.83, and at:9 a.m. to-day at 29.80.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The following forecast was issued: — The indications are for northerly winds, moderate to strong, and hacking by north to west. Increasing haze and cloudiness. The barometer has a falilng tendency.
