LABOUR MINISTER'S ADMISSION
GOVERNMENT HOUSING BILL. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Dav, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 25. Amid Labour cheers, the Commons carried the third reading of the Government's Housing Bill. The Conservatives' motion for rejection was dej feated by 226 to 131. The Bill was read a first time in the Lords. Mr J. Wheat-ley . (Minister" for Health) admitted jihat the Bill was not Socialism. He said he was sorry he was not in the position to introduce a Socialistic measure, but _ the country was not ready for Socialism. The statement was received with loud Opposition cheers.
