HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "THE NE'ER-DO-WELL.'^ Lepers on the island of Caniles, off the coast of Panama, are having the dreariness and tragedy of their lives relieved somewhat in the future by motion pictures. Thomas Mcighan recently presented them with a projection machine through arrangement with Senor Parraz, President of the Republic of Panama, and films are sent by Paramount from New York at regular intervals. The presentation of the machine to the leper colony by Mr Meighan came about as a result of his stay at Panama while making scenes for his new Paramount picture, llie Ne'er-Do-Well," which will be shown at His Majesty's Theatre to-night, at to-morrow's matinee, and again at inVht. One day it was necessary tor Mr Meighan and the company to visit Tobogo Island. On the way they passed Caniles Islands, and the plight of the lepers there was explained to him by persons on the boat. Immediately on his return to the mainland, he made arrangements with Senor Pan-as so that he could present the projection machine. This was sent immediately after his return to Isew York, and the films also soon were on the way.
