SYDNEY BUTTER PRICES.
SYDNEY, May 5
The wholesale price of butter lias been further increased by Id per lb.
lowcliffe clearing sale.
A clearing sale on account of Messrs Armstrong Bros, was conducted at Lowcliffe yesterday by the National Mortgage a.nd Agency Co., when the following prices were obtained: Horses.—Draughts: geldings aged £7, £lO, £H; mares, 6yrs £lB, aged £9. Sheep.—l 9 ewes at 15s 6d. Cattle.—Jersey cow £6, cow and calf £7 ss, £7 10s, £l2; cow £6, heifer £8 15s. Implements.—Spring-cart £ll, grubber £ll 10s, 3-f. plough £lO, chain harrows £ll, roller £16.. A quantity of sundries sold at recent rates.
