COMMONWEALTH AFFAIRS. NEW PASSENGER SERVICE. (Per Press Association —Copyright.) (Received this day, 11.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A new company is being formed in England to inaugurate a regular motor ship passenger and cargo service betweeu England and Australia.
THE TRANSPORT UNIONS. MELBOURNE, This day. With the object of getting greater cohesion among maritime unions in industrial disputes, a Transport Workers' Group is formed to be the supreme body in handling disputes. A conference of all unions connected with the waterfront is convened for March 26 to discuss the formation of a grea transport council, which will become one of the most powerful bodies in times of industrial crisis.
THE STATE ELECTIONS.
ADELAIDE, This Day. Nominations for the State elections show 101 candidates for 46 seats. The issue will be tough between the Liberal Labour, and the Country parties.
