THE WEATHER.

AN UNPLEASANT WIND. After several days of summer weather to-day brought a hot nor'-wester, which swept the town with clouds of dust. The temperature remained high but not as high as yesterday, when the reading was 64 degrees in the shade. The lowest in the night was 34 degrees inside and 28 degrees outside, giving a. frost of 4 degrees. The barometer has dropped a few points, and at 9 a.m. to-day was reading at 29.89 inches. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following forecast was issued:— The indications are for freshening winds, westerly strong to gale, and veering bv west to north. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, and the weather will probably become warmer, with increasing haze and cloudiness for change, and a storm appears to be approaching from the south. Barometer falling.
